camping on my com for e entire day - instead of e great outdoors for a change! really cant drag myself outta my chair. decided it was time for my long-overdue system overhaul and finally set about getting rid of the incredibly troublesome win me, replacing it wif win xp. finally figured out e problem ive been getting wrt e win xp installation was due to roxio GoBack3 - an otherwise incredibly useful utility i strongly recommend for those 'oh shit' moments when u realise uve really screwed up ur com big time - and disabled it, installation worked like a charm after that. unfortunately it seems that e 'new installation' which is supposed to wipe ur hard drive kept all my programs on it - now theyre kinda like headless chickens cos theyre there taking up space on my HD and goodness knows if their registry entries are still there.. yet i cant run them properly. icq99b certainly cant, thats e reason for my *ahem* conspicuous absence today.

meanwhile vegging out esp since i brought my dad's portable vcd player down n planted it smack next to e com. i mean, installing windows isnt exactly e fastest or e funnest thing in e world to do... watched insomnia and boy is it good... that kinda serious movie that makes u go all uptight n antisocial for a while just thinking about e implications. and that's exactly why u hafta watch it!

getting weird problems wif my com, strangely - every few words i type e blinking text cursor springs back a few lines and i get horribly lost... my soundblaster extigy isnt being recognised, or at least ive gotta reinstall e drivers, cos no sound is coming outta it. n worst of all, e mouse cursor disappears in warcraft III! help... now what am i gonna do? groan.
