ive been reading portal: a dataspace retrieval which is a hypertext markup (heh heh fancy for HTML version... ooh evil me ^_^ ) version of an electronic novel by Rob Swigart, published in 86...! not much time to post properly about it now so ill save a review and a commentary about scifi/cyberpunk stuff and - you guessed it - Minority Report (which i *still* havent watched...) and a weird dream i had, um, 3 wks back that i never had the time to document. but after reading portal i think i should [document it] !

disclaimer: when i was halfway thru the book i realised that it was pretty run-of-the-mill stuff thats been rehashed a thousand other times in other scifi/cyberpunk books/stories/movies n so on. but its still rather engaging... who hasnt worried that ud be, as is the premise facing the narrator, the last person on earth someday? also recommended reading: z for zachariah by robert c.o'brien , read that in p4 for my 2nd ERP project ( ^_^ ) so its not mind-numbingly difficult to understand or whatever... its not a childrens' childrens' book cos its got dark undercurrents of menance and stuff, but it certainly sparked off my interest in anti-nuclear 'activism' (hahaha) - which was appropriate cos chernobyl was only a few years prior (at that point in time) and the books on the incident were just beginning to shape up. enough about me... note to self: must be more to the point and avoid going into long asides again!

great i think i lost the point of my post. ermmm... you do understand it, dont u?
